Jack Nicklaus' Power Challenge Golf on the Genesis is one of those old-school golf games that somehow nails the balance between arcade fun and just enough realism to keep you engaged. You pick your clubs, adjust for wind, and try not to overshoot the green—which happens way more often than you'd think at first. The pixelated courses actually have personality, and there's something satisfying about nailing a long putt with that chunky Genesis controller in your hands.
It’s not as flashy as modern golf sims, but the straightforward three-click swing mechanic means you can jump right in without overthinking it. Just don’t blame me when you spend way too long trying to shave one stroke off your score. The game holds up better than you’d expect for its age.
