About Izzy's Quest For The Olympic Rings (usa, Europe)
Izzy's Quest For The Olympic Rings came out in 1995 for the Sega Genesis, known as the Mega Drive in Europe. It was developed by Alexis Bousiges and served as the official game for the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. This was a time when platformers were common on the system, often tied to major events or licenses, and this title fit right into that trend without trying to redefine it.
You control Izzy, the mascot of the Atlanta games, through a series of themed worlds. Your main goal is to recover the five stolen Olympic rings. The gameplay involves moving screen by screen, jumping across platforms and avoiding environmental hazards. You collect stars to power up and use a basic attack to fend off enemies.
