Ishido is one of those deceptively simple puzzle games that hooks you fast. You’re dropping these ornate stones onto a grid, trying to match them by either color or symbol with whatever’s next to them. Sounds easy, right? Then the board fills up, and suddenly you’re sweating over where to place that last jade piece without ruining your whole setup.
The vibe is pure Chinese mythology—serene music, ink-wash art, those little wooden tile sounds when you place a stone. It’s weirdly relaxing even when you’re scrambling to keep your combo going. First time I played, I thought I had it figured out in five minutes… then the game laughed and handed me a 20-point score. Brutal.
Perfect for quick sessions or when you just want something to zone out with. Just don’t blame me when you lose track of an hour trying to beat your high score.
