I first encountered The Immortal on the Sega Genesis in 1990, a game developed by Sandcastle. It was part of that wave of titles trying to do something different on the system, moving beyond straightforward platformers into more complex, atmospheric territory.
You control a wizard's apprentice navigating a labyrinthine dungeon. Your main goal is to find and rescue your captured master.
