Remember that scene in Home Alone 2 where Kevin McCallister turns a hotel suite into a booby-trap nightmare for the Wet Bandits? Yeah, this Sega Genesis game lets you live that chaos—sort of. You play as Kevin, running around New York setting up traps while dodging Marv and Harry (who somehow move faster here than they ever did in the movies).
The controls are a little stiff, and some of the platforming feels like trial-and-error, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about pelting burglars with paint cans or watching them step on your toy cars. The music’s got that classic Genesis sound too—chipper but slightly ominous, just like being a kid alone in a massive city. It’s not the deepest game, but if you loved the movie, it’s a nostalgia trip worth a few playthroughs.
