If you grew up watching Fist of the North Star and wished you could be Kenshiro for a day, this Genesis brawler is about as close as it gets. The moment you boot it up, you're thrown into that same brutal wasteland—enemies explode in classic over-the-top fashion, and yeah, you can absolutely make heads pop with a well-timed Hokuto Shinken combo.
It’s not just mindless punching, though. There’s a weirdly deep story mode where you wander towns, talk to survivors (who mostly beg for help before getting wrecked by thugs), and then unleash justice in side-scrolling beatdowns. The sprites are chunky in that perfect '90s way, and the soundtrack? Pure hype. Just don’t expect it to go easy on you—some of those boss fights will test your patience.
Honestly, half the fun is seeing how faithfully it adapts the manga’s absurd violence. If you’ve ever wanted to shout “You’re already dead!” at your TV, here’s your chance.
