Hercules Ii Game

Alright, so Hercules II on the Genesis is one of those old-school platformers that feels like it was made for Saturday mornings—big, bold, and just a little janky in that classic '90s way. You’re basically playing as Hercules, but not the Disney version—this guy’s all muscle and no singing. The game throws you straight into ancient Greece with these chunky, colorful sprites, and you’re immediately jumping over pits, smashing vases (why are there so many vases?), and clobbering mythological beasts with your club.
The controls take a second to get used to—Hercules moves like he’s wearing those sandals on ice at first—but once you figure out the timing for his attacks, it’s weirdly satisfying. The soundtrack’s got that synth-y Sega vibe, like someone remixed a lyre with a keyboard. And yeah, it’s tough. You’ll die a lot, especially against the bosses, but there’s something about the way it leans into the whole "heroic trials" thing that makes you want to push through. If you’ve got nostalgia for this era or just love Greek mythology with a side of clunky charm, it’s a solid time.
