Guitar Hero - On Tour for the DS is one of those weird, ambitious little experiments that actually works. You clip this little plastic "Guitar Grip" onto the system—it feels janky at first, but after a few songs, you're sliding the stylus across the touchscreen like a tiny fretboard while tapping notes with your other hand. The tracklist is solid (Bowie, Nirvana, some deep cuts), though good luck nailing solos on that tiny screen.
Multiplayer's chaotic fun if you can find another person with the game and the grip accessory (good luck with that in 2024). Career mode gets brutal fast—I remember getting stuck on "School's Out" for days. It shouldn't work as well as it does, but there's something magical about headbanging to "Smoke on the Water" while crammed on a bus with your DS.
