Grandslam - The Tennis Tournament (europe) Game

GrandSlam - The Tennis Tournament is one of those early '90s sports games that somehow nails the arcade feel of tennis without getting too bogged down in realism. You pick your player (I always went for the serve-and-volley types—way more fun than baseline grinders), and the controls are simple enough: tap for a regular shot, hold for power, and pray your timing isn’t off.
The courts look decent for a Genesis game—grass, clay, hard—and the ball physics actually make sense, which wasn’t always a given back then. Matches get surprisingly tense, especially when you’re down a set and scrambling to return a nasty slice. It’s not as flashy as some later tennis games, but it’s got that addictive "just one more match" thing going on.
If you dig old-school sports games, this one’s a solid backhand winner.
