GoldenEye 007 on the DS is a surprisingly solid handheld take on the classic Bond experience. You start off sneaking through a dam mission—classic stuff—but the controls actually work way better than you'd expect for a shooter on this tiny screen. The touchscreen handles aiming, and after a few minutes of fumbling, it clicks.

What I like is how it mixes stealth and action. Sometimes you're silently taking out guards with silenced pistols, other times you're in full-on shootouts with SMGs. The missions feel like proper Bond moments, even if the graphics are obviously scaled down. And yeah, you get all the gadgets—remote mines, sniper rifles, even the golden gun shows up later.

It’s not perfect—some sections feel cramped on the small screen—but for a DS FPS, it’s way more fun than it has any right to be. If you miss the old-school Bond vibe, this one’s worth a shot.
