Okay, so Ghostbusters on the Genesis is one of those games that nails the vibe of the movies but plays like its own weird little thing. You start off cruising around NYC in the Ecto-1—which handles like a boat, by the way—before hopping out to zap ghosts with your proton pack. The pixel art’s got that chunky 16-bit charm, and the soundtrack? Pure 80s cheese in the best way.

At first, I kept getting wrecked by those floating pink nightmare blobs (seriously, what are those?), but once you get the rhythm of trapping ghosts—lure ‘em, weaken ‘em, slam the trap down—it clicks. The Marshmallow Man showdown’s a pain if you don’t stock up on gear first, though. Pro tip: upgrade your packs early or you’ll regret it.

It’s janky in that classic Sega way, but if you grew up with the movies or just love weird retro action, this one’s a blast. Just don’t cross the streams.
