You control a single Ghostbuster, running through city streets and haunted buildings. Your main goal is to capture ghosts, which involves a specific process: first you weaken them with your proton beam, then you trap them. You explore the city screen by screen, driving the Ecto-1 to different locations. The game is quite difficult; ghosts swarm you quickly, and managing your proton pack's energy is a constant concern. It feels frantic and a little unforgiving, a test of your reflexes more than your puzzle-solving skills.
