About Garou Densetsu 2 - Aratanaru Tatakai (japan)
Garou Densetsu 2 came out for the Sega Genesis in 1992, a port of SNK's arcade fighter. It was one of the many fighting games vying for attention on the console at the time, a solid attempt to bring a Neo Geo experience home.
You pick from a roster of martial artists, each with their own special moves, and fight through a series of one-on-one matches. The main goal is to defeat all the other fighters and become the champion. Key mechanics include building up a power gauge by attacking to unleash a desperation move, and a two-button control scheme for punches and kicks that simplifies the inputs. The pacing is fast, and the computer opponents can be quite challenging, especially later on. It feels responsive and direct, capturing the immediate thrill of landing a clean combo.
