About Garfield ? Caught In The Act
Garfield: Caught in the Act came out for the Sega Genesis in 1995, developed and published by SEGA. It was part of that wave of licensed platformers that filled the shelves back then, a time when seeing a familiar cartoon face on a game box was pretty common. You play as Garfield, who gets zapped into his television by a strange device, and the game follows his attempts to get back out.
You control Garfield through side scrolling levels, moving screen by screen. Your main goal is to reach the end of each stage while avoiding enemies and environmental hazards. Garfield can jump on enemies, use a punch attack, and collect alarm clocks to restore health. The game is known for its branching paths and special bonus rounds where you play as Odie the dog. The pacing is fairly quick, and the difficulty can be unforgiving with precise platforming required. Playing it feels like a chaotic scramble through a cartoon world where you are never quite sure what obstacle is next.
