This one's a weird little gem—Fushigi No Umi No Nadia on the Sega Genesis (or Mega Drive if you're fancy). It's based on that old anime Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water, so expect some steampunk submarines, mysterious artifacts, and a whole lot of 90s anime charm.
You start off controlling Jean, this awkward inventor kid, and Nadia, the acrobatic girl with a pet lion (because why not?). The gameplay's a mix of platforming and puzzle-solving, with some clunky but oddly satisfying combat. The first level throws you right into a sinking ship—nothing like escaping drowning to get your heart racing.
It’s got that classic "anime game" jank—hit detection’s a bit iffy, and the controls take some getting used to. But the sprite work is gorgeous, and the music? Absolute bangers. If you’re into obscure anime adaptations or just love weird retro games, this one’s worth a look.
