About Funny Of Three Kingdoms
Funny Of Three Kingdoms came out for the Sega Genesis, or Mega Drive, in 1990. It was developed by Sage's Creation and published by Sega. This was a time when the Genesis was full of action games, and this one tried to put a humorous spin on the classic Chinese tale.
You control one of three generals, Liu Bei, Guan Yu, or Zhang Fei, fighting through side scrolling stages. Your main goal is to defeat the Yellow Turban rebels and their leaders. The game uses a life bar system for your health, and you attack with your main weapon, a sword, and a limited supply of throwing knives. You move screen by screen, clearing all enemies in an area before you can proceed. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can be unforgiving, with enemies swarming you from all directions. It feels like a chaotic, sometimes clumsy brawl where you are constantly on the defensive.
