Fire Shark is one of those classic Sega Genesis shooters that just feels right—fast, chaotic, and satisfying as hell. You’re dumped straight into the cockpit of a fighter jet, weaving through waves of enemy planes and tanks while bullets fill the screen. The first few levels trick you into thinking you’ve got this, then suddenly you’re dodging missiles from all directions.
The power-ups are simple but brutal—grab the right one and your firepower turns into this ridiculous spread of destruction. I always went for the wide shot first, but the laser has its moments. And those boss fights? Huge, screen-filling monstrosities that take half your health bar if you blink at the wrong time.
Yeah, the graphics are pixelated in that early '90s way, but the explosions and chunky sprites give it so much personality. The music’s got that classic arcade energy too—you’ll be humming it after a couple runs. Just don’t expect mercy—this game’s tough, but in that addictive "one more try" kind of way.
