Final Fantasy IV on the DS is one of those RPGs that just sticks with you. You start off as Cecil, a dark knight with some serious moral dilemmas, and right away the game throws you into this rich, slightly melodramatic story full of betrayals, airships, and moon people (yeah, it gets wild). The turn-based combat feels classic but with just enough tweaks to keep it interesting—like the Augment system that lets you customize abilities in weird ways.
The DS version adds these gorgeous 3D visuals and voice acting in key scenes, which gives the whole thing a fresh coat of paint without losing that old-school charm. And man, the soundtrack? Still incredible. Just expect to grind a little—some of those boss fights don’t mess around. If you’ve never played it, this is a great way to experience one of the best stories in the series.
