Final Fantasy IV - Easy Type is basically the "training wheels" version of the original SNES classic. They stripped out some spells, tweaked items, and made shops way cheaper—probably so kids wouldn't get stuck grinding for hours just to afford a Cure spell. The dialogue's simpler too, though honestly, I kinda missed the melodrama of the original script.
It's not the US version (that one was already dumbed down), but if you're new to JRPGs or just want a breezier playthrough, this does the job. Just don't expect the same challenge—some boss fights that wrecked me as a kid are total pushovers here.
Still a solid way to experience the story if you're not up for the grind.
