Final Fantasy II (or VI, depending on where you're from) is one of those SNES classics that just sticks with you. You start off with two soldiers in mech suits stomping through the snow—already weird for a fantasy game—and before long, you're juggling a whole crew of misfits, from rebellious princesses to washed-up gamblers. Kefka’s the villain here, and he’s not your usual "take over the world" type—he’s more like a clown who actually pulls it off. The magic system’s flexible, letting you mix and match spells on characters, and the soundtrack? Absolute fire. It’s the kind of RPG where you’ll accidentally spend an hour in the opera house scene just because it’s that good.
