Final Blow is one of those early '90s arcade boxing ports that feels a little rough around the edges but has its own charm. You pick from a roster of boxers (none of them look particularly athletic, honestly) and jump into quick, punchy matches where the controls are simple but the AI can be surprisingly cheap.

The Genesis version has that chunky pixelated look, with fighters that move a bit stiffly—don’t expect the fluidity of Punch-Out!! Still, landing a solid uppercut and watching your opponent’s health bar drain never gets old. Fun fact: this got rebranded as James Buster Douglas Knockout Boxing in the US after he beat Tyson, which explains why some copies have totally different box art.

It’s not the deepest boxing sim, but if you’re into retro sports games, it’s a neat little time capsule from when arcade ports ruled the scene.
