Ferrari Grand Prix Challenge is one of those old-school racers that somehow makes you feel like you're going 200mph even though the graphics are chunky as hell. You pick from a handful of classic Ferraris—none of them handle like you'd expect, but that's half the fun. The tracks twist and turn in ways that'll have you slamming into barriers at least three times per lap until you memorize every curve.
What I love about it is how punishing it is. Miss a braking point by half a second? Enjoy spinning into the grass while the AI cars zoom past. But when you finally nail a clean lap, it feels like an actual victory. The engine noise alone—that tinny Genesis growl—still gets me hyped. Just don't expect Forza-level realism; this is pure arcade chaos with a Ferrari badge slapped on it.
If you've got a soft spot for janky 16-bit racing games, this one's worth dusting off.
