Fatman Game

Fatman on the Sega Genesis is one of those weird, janky platformers that somehow sticks with you. You play as this chunky little hero who moves with the grace of a brick, but once you get used to his weight, the controls actually feel kinda satisfying. The levels are packed with these bizarre enemies—some look like walking meatballs, others like sentient traffic cones—and the whole thing has that classic "what were they thinking?" 90s charm.
It’s not easy, though. You’ll die a lot at first, mostly from misjudging jumps or getting ambushed by enemies popping out of nowhere. But there’s something weirdly rewarding about finally nailing a tough section after a dozen tries. The music’s got that crunchy Genesis synth sound, and the pixel art is just detailed enough to make you wonder how they squeezed it all into a cartridge.
If you grew up with a Genesis, this one’s a nostalgia trip. If you didn’t, it’s still a fun (and frustrating) peek into retro gaming’s rough edges. Just don’t throw your controller.
