Ever wanted to be a dolphin with serious problems? ECCO – The Tides of Time throws you into this weirdly beautiful Genesis/Mega Drive sequel where you’re basically a cetacean detective. One minute you’re gliding through coral reefs, the next you’re dodging jellyfish or solving these bizarre glyph puzzles that make zero sense until they suddenly click.
The water physics still feel amazing—you really move like a dolphin, all momentum and sharp turns. And that soundtrack? Haunting synth waves that somehow make swimming through a cave full of eels feel epic. Just don’t expect hand-holding—some sections are brutal, and the story gets trippy fast (aliens, time travel, the usual dolphin drama).
It’s one of those games where you either vibe with the strangeness or nope out after drowning for the tenth time. But if it clicks, you’ll be humming the theme for weeks.
