Dynamite Duke came out for the Sega Genesis in 1989, developed by Seibu Kaihatsu. It was part of that early wave of Genesis titles trying to capture the feel of arcade action at home. You control Duke, a tough guy with a cybernetic arm, fighting through waves of mutant soldiers and criminals.

You move Duke forward automatically through each stage, aiming and shooting at everything that appears. Your main goal is simply to survive each level and defeat the boss at the end. You have a standard gun, but you can pick up power-ups for a spread shot or a powerful bazooka. The game is split between standard run-and-gun sections and first-person corridor segments where you must shoot incoming enemies quickly. It moves at a fast pace and can be quite difficult, demanding quick reflexes to handle the constant enemy fire. Playing it feels like a relentless, noisy shootout from start to finish.
