Dyna Brothers 2 – Sega Channel Special is one of those weird little Genesis gems that somehow makes dinosaurs even more charming than they already are. You start off with a couple of tiny dinos—think pocket-sized T-Rexes—and have to guide them through this bizarre mix of strategy and action. At first, I had no idea what I was doing, just throwing them at enemies and hoping for the best. But then you realize there’s actual depth here—evolving them, picking the right formations, even managing resources between battles.
The pixel art is ridiculously cute, like someone took Jurassic Park and turned it into a Saturday morning cartoon. And yeah, it’s got that classic Sega Channel jank—some of the mechanics feel a little rough now, but in a way that just adds to the nostalgia. If you ever rented this back in the day or just love obscure retro stuff, it’s a fun little time capsule.
Just don’t expect it to hold your hand—half the fun is figuring out how the heck this game even works.
