Dragon Ball - Origins on DS is basically Goku’s origin story in game form—you start as this tiny kid with a tail and a power pole, smacking dinosaurs and stumbling into trouble. The combat’s simple but satisfying, mixing melee combos with ki blasts, and the levels throw in these little environmental puzzles where you’ll chuck rocks or bounce on mushrooms to reach higher ground.
What’s cool is how it nails the early Dragon Ball vibe—less planet-destroying energy beams, more goofy martial arts and exploring forests and caves. The touchscreen controls for special moves feel surprisingly natural once you get used to them. By the time you’re facing off against the first proper villains, you’ll already be weirdly attached to kid Goku’s dumb grin.
It’s not the deepest action game, but if you ever wanted to relive those early manga chapters with some light platforming and boss fights, this is the closest you’ll get on DS.
