Dragon Ball - Origins 2 on the DS is basically a love letter to early Goku adventures—before Z turned everything into planet-busting power levels. You start off as kid Goku, running around with Bulma, smacking dinosaurs with your power pole, and doing all that classic Dragon Ball stuff. The combat’s simple but satisfying—you’ll tap and swipe to swing your pole or charge up a Kamehameha, and it actually feels pretty good for a DS game.
What’s cool is how it mixes brawling with light puzzle-solving—like using your pole to vault across gaps or hitting switches. The levels are packed with little secrets too, so if you’re the type who pokes around every corner for extra capsules, you’ll have fun here. And yeah, the story’s nothing new if you know the original manga, but seeing it play out in chibi-style cutscenes is weirdly charming.
Just don’t expect DBZ-level intensity—this is pure, goofy Dragon Ball, complete with Pilaf’s terrible plans and Goku’s total cluelessness about girls. If you’re nostalgic for that era, it’s a solid little adventure.
