Double Dribble – Playoff Edition is that kind of old-school basketball game where the players move like they’re skating on ice, but somehow, it just works. The second you start a match, you’re thrown into this fast, chaotic back-and-forth—miss a shot, and the other team’s already sprinting down the court for an easy layup. No mercy here.
The playoff mode is where it gets real. The AI actually puts up a fight, blocking shots and stealing the ball if you get careless. And the dunks? Ridiculously exaggerated, like your guy hangs in the air just a little too long before slamming it down. Feels straight out of an arcade.
It’s not the deepest basketball sim, but if you’re into that early '90s Sega vibe—chunky sprites, screechy sound effects, and all—this one’s a solid pickup. Just don’t expect modern controls.
