About Double Dragon V - The Shadow Falls
Double Dragon V: The Shadow Falls came out for the Sega Genesis in 1994, developed by Leland Corporation. It was a time when fighting games were everywhere, and this entry tried to jump on that trend, moving away from the side scrolling beat 'em ups the series was known for.
You pick one of several characters, including the Lee brothers, and fight through a series of one on one battles. The main goal is to defeat a group of villains called the Shadow Bosses. You have a standard set of moves: punches, kicks, special attacks, and the ability to summon a helper character for a quick assist. The game is structured like a tournament, with you moving from match to match on a map screen. It can feel repetitive after a while, and the difficulty is inconsistent, with some opponents being much tougher than others.
