Disney’s The Lion King II on the Sega Genesis is basically the sequel we never got in movie form—you play as Kiara, Simba’s daughter, bouncing through the Pride Lands with that classic 16-bit Disney magic. The sprites are surprisingly detailed for the era, especially when you’re dodging wildebeests or sneaking past hyenas in the shadows.
It’s tougher than you’d expect, though. One wrong jump in the jungle vines or mistimed pounce, and you’re back to the checkpoint. The music nails the movie’s vibe, and there’s something weirdly satisfying about roaring at enemies as a tiny lion cub. If you grew up with the Genesis or just love retro platformers, this one’s a solid time capsule.
