Devilish is this weird little Genesis game that feels like someone took Arkanoid, turned it vertical, and cranked the difficulty to "why am I sweating?" You control two paddles—one up top to smack demons with a bouncing ball, another at the bottom to keep yourself from falling into oblivion. The screen just keeps scrolling upward, so you're constantly juggling between offense and not dying.
It's got that classic "wait, how was I supposed to dodge that?" energy, especially when the bosses show up. Two-player mode is chaotic in the best way, assuming your friend doesn't accidentally yeet you into a pit. Definitely one of those "simple to learn, brutal to master" arcade-style games.
