Desert Demolition is this weirdly fun Genesis game where you play as either Wile E. Coyote or Road Runner—both handle totally differently, which I didn’t expect. Wile’s got all these ridiculous ACME gadgets (of course), while Road Runner just zooms around leaving dust clouds. The whole thing’s framed as this bizarre ACME customer loyalty contest, so you’re basically wrecking desert landscapes to collect stamps. Feels like someone took the cartoons and turned them into a chaotic platformer with way more explosions.
Honestly, half the fun is seeing how badly you can mess up as Wile E. before his own traps backfire. The physics are janky in that classic 16-bit way, but it kinda works for the slapstick vibe. Road Runner’s stages are faster but way harder to control—took me a few tries to stop slamming into cactus.
It’s not deep, but it’s got that weird early ‘90s charm where everything’s bright, loud, and slightly unhinged. Perfect for short bursts when you want something silly.
