Death Duel on the Genesis is one of those games that looks simple at first—just you, a gun, and a bunch of enemies trying to blast you into pixels. But after a few minutes, you realize how much it demands from you. The arena’s tight, bullets come flying from all sides, and if you stand still for even a second, you’re toast.
What I love is how it forces you to think on your feet. You’re not just shooting mindlessly—you’re dodging, weaving, and timing shots because ammo isn’t infinite. The enemies don’t just rush you; some hang back, others flank, and before long, you’re sweating over every move. It’s got that old-school "one more try" pull, even when you’re getting wrecked.
Fair warning: the difficulty’s brutal by today’s standards, but that’s part of the charm. If you’ve got a Genesis collecting dust, this one’s worth digging out for a punishing but satisfying shootout.
