Daze Before Christmas is one of those weird, charming holiday platformers that somehow slipped under the radar back in the Genesis days. You play as Santa—not some cutesy version, but a full-on red-suited badass who punches snowmen and rides candy canes like skateboards. The first level throws you right into a snowy village where you’re bouncing off rooftops, dodging yetis, and collecting presents that suspiciously look like they’ve been stolen.

The graphics have that early ‘90s vibe—bright colors, chunky sprites—and the music? Pure sleigh bell nostalgia. It’s janky in places (why does Santa slide so much on ice?), but that just adds to the weird fun. By level two, you’re riding giant toy trains and fighting evil snow globes, which… sure, why not?
