Man, Davis Cup World Tour takes me back—this was one of those Sega Genesis tennis games that actually made you feel like you were in a real match. The animations are a little stiff by today’s standards, but back then? That serve motion felt smooth as butter. You pick your country (I always went with Australia for some reason) and suddenly you’re sweating over every volley against Spain or the U.S.
What I love is how the game nails that arcade-y tennis feel—no complicated button combos, just crisp forehands and backhands where timing matters more than anything. The crowd even goes wild when you pull off a crazy cross-court winner. And yeah, the AI can be brutal on higher difficulties—some of those baseline rallies will have you white-knuckling the controller.
It’s not the deepest tennis sim out there, but for quick matches or a nostalgia hit, it still holds up. Just don’t blame me when you start muttering "one more game" at 2 AM.
