About Dashin' Desperadoes (beta)
Dashin' Desperadoes was a beta release for the Sega Genesis, never officially published. It was developed by Sega, and it fits right in with the kind of colorful, action-focused platformers that were common on the system in the early 90s. You don't see many people talking about it now, since it never got a full launch, but it was a solid attempt at a fast-paced game for its time.
You control a cowboy character who runs automatically, and your main job is to jump over obstacles and enemies while racing against a timer. The screen scrolls continuously, forcing you to react quickly to pits, cacti, and other hazards. You can collect items to increase your score and sometimes get a temporary speed boost. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty ramps up quickly, demanding precise timing on your jumps. It feels like a frantic dash where one small mistake can send you back to the start.
