Cyberball (world) Game

CyberBall is one of those ridiculous '90s sports games that just went all-in on the cyberpunk aesthetic. You've got robots smashing into each other on a neon-lit field, but here's the kicker—instead of a football, they're passing around a massive bomb that could explode at any second. The first time I played, I kept expecting it to detonate mid-pass, but nope, it's just a glorified pigskin with extra danger vibes.
The controls are simple enough—run, pass, tackle—but the robots have this satisfying clanky weight to them, like they're barely holding together. I always picked the team with the red armor because, well, they looked faster (they weren't). The announcer yells stuff like "TOUCHDOWN... OR TOTAL ANNIHILATION," which honestly never gets old. It's dumb, over-the-top, and exactly what you'd expect from a Sega Genesis sports game that ditched realism for robot mayhem.
If you're into retro games that don't take themselves seriously, this one's a blast—pun very much intended.
