About Curse
Curse was released for the Sega Genesis, also known as the Mega Drive, in 1990 by developers/publishers I'm not entirely sure about. It came out during a time when the console was full of action platformers and exploratory games, and it fits right into that style without trying to reinvent the wheel.
You control a warrior, moving through a world screen by screen. Your main goal is to explore dungeons and collect pieces of a powerful artifact, similar to gathering Triforce pieces in other games. You use a sword for close combat and can also find a bow for attacking enemies from a distance. The game moves at a deliberate pace, and the difficulty can be punishing, demanding careful exploration and combat. Playing it feels like a methodical, sometimes tense crawl through a dangerous world.
