If you grew up with Crayon Shin-chan or just love weird, goofy platformers, this Sega Genesis/Master System game is a total trip. You play as the little chaos gremlin himself, Shin-chan, bouncing through levels that feel like they were pulled straight from the anime—bright colors, ridiculous enemies, and that signature brand of mischief.
At first it seems like a standard side-scroller, but then you realize half the power-ups involve Shin-chan mooning people or pulling down his pants (classic). The controls are a little stiff by modern standards, but that’s part of the charm—watching him flail around while dodging obstacles is half the fun. Some levels drag a bit, but the sheer absurdity of it all (like fighting a giant sentient pudding) makes up for it.
Definitely more fun if you’re already a fan of the series, but even if you’re not, it’s a solid weirdo retro platformer with personality. Just don’t expect deep mechanics—this one’s all about the vibes.
