Cosmic Spacehead is one of those weird little Genesis games that sticks with you—part platformer, part point-and-click adventure, all charm. You play as this goofy alien dude named Cosmic (obviously), hopping between planets that look like they were drawn by a kid who drank too much soda. The puzzles are just tricky enough to make you think, but not so hard you’ll rage-quit—though I did get stuck for way too long trying to figure out what to do with that talking cactus.

The controls are simple, but the real fun comes from the bizarre NPCs and the way the game doesn’t take itself seriously. One minute you’re trading junk with a grumpy robot, the next you’re dodging space bees. The pixel art has that perfect early ‘90s Sega vibe—bright, chunky, and full of personality. If you’re into oddball retro stuff, this one’s a blast.

Just don’t expect a deep space epic. It’s more like a Saturday morning cartoon you can play.
