About Chakan
Chakan came out for the Sega Genesis in 1992, developed by Sega and based on a comic book character. It was one of those games from the era that tried to do something a bit different, a side-scrolling action title with a very specific, dark mood.
You control Chakan, a warrior cursed with immortality until he can defeat all the world's monsters. Your goal is to explore a large, interconnected map of haunted mansions and surreal landscapes, clearing each area of enemies. The gameplay is built on methodical, screen by screen exploration and combat using a sword and a crossbow. You collect keys and items to unlock new paths, and the game is known for its high difficulty, demanding precise jumps and careful enemy encounters.
