Castle of Illusion is one of those classic Disney platformers that just feels right. You play as Mickey, bouncing on enemies, tossing apples at weirdly creepy bosses, and hopping through these gorgeous, dreamlike levels—some are candy-coated, others are straight-up spooky. The witch Mizrabel kidnapped Minnie (of course), so you’re running through forests, toy boxes, even upside-down rooms to get her back.
The controls are tight, the music’s catchy as hell, and some of those boss fights? Way harder than you’d expect from a Mickey game. I still remember getting stuck on that giant spider for way too long as a kid. It’s short but packed with charm—definitely holds up if you’re into retro platformers.
