Remember that old-school Captain Planet game on the Sega Genesis? The one where you play as the Planeteers and summon the blue guy himself to wreck polluters? Yeah, it's exactly as 90s as it sounds.
You start off picking one of the five Planeteers—each with their own kinda janky special move—before jumping into side-scrolling levels where you punch oil barons and toxic waste monsters. The sprites are chunky, the colors are bright, and the music is that classic Genesis synth. It's not the deepest beat 'em up, but there's something weirdly satisfying about throwing wind powers at a guy in a gas mask.
Captain Planet shows up as your super move, and honestly, he looks like someone smeared a blue highlighter on the screen. Still fun, though. The game's got that weird licensed-game energy where it's clearly rushed but weirdly charming because of it.
If you're into retro games or just feeling nostalgic for Saturday morning cartoons, this one's a trip.
