Captain America and the Avengers on Sega Genesis is one of those classic arcade-style beat 'em ups where you just punch your way through waves of bad guys—except this time, you're doing it as Cap, Iron Man, Vision, or Hawkeye. The arcade version was way flashier, but the Genesis port still has that satisfying crunch when you land a shield throw or repulsor blast.

It’s pretty straightforward—walk right, mash buttons, repeat—but there’s something weirdly fun about the janky voice clips ("AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!") and the way enemies explode into little bolts and springs like they’re made of spare parts. The bosses are the real highlight though—Red Skull, Klaw, and Ultron all show up looking like they stepped out of a Saturday morning cartoon.
