Captain America and the Avengers on the Genesis is one of those classic arcade-style beat 'em ups where you just pick a hero and start punching your way through waves of goons. It's got that old-school charm—bright colors, chunky sprites, and Cap's shield bouncing off enemies in the most satisfying way.

You can team up with a friend too, which is great because some of those later levels get brutal. The voice clips are hilariously bad ("AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!" sounds like it was recorded in a tin can), but that just adds to the nostalgia. The controls are simple—jump, punch, maybe a special move if you're lucky—but the real fun is in the chaos of dodging lasers and taking down bosses like the Red Skull.

It's not the deepest game out there, but if you're into retro co-op brawlers, this one's a solid time capsule from the era of quarter-munching arcade action.
