About Call Of Duty - Black Ops (f)
Call of Duty: Black Ops on the Nintendo DS came out in 2010 from Activision. It was part of that wave of ambitious shooters trying to fit a console experience onto the handheld. You get a portable version of that year's big military story, scaled down but still recognizable.
You control a soldier through missions set in the Cold War era. Your main job is to complete objectives, often moving through areas and eliminating enemy forces. The touch screen handles aiming and shooting, while the d-pad moves your character. You also use the lower screen for context actions like planting explosives or interacting with items. The game moves at a brisk pace, and the difficulty can spike during firefights where enemies flank your position. It feels like a condensed, sometimes frantic interpretation of the Black Ops universe in your hands.
