Caliber .50 Game

Caliber .50 on the Genesis is one of those "wait, why isn’t this more famous?" kind of shooters. You hop into a heavily armed jeep (or a chopper later on) and just tear through enemy bases, dodging tanks, helicopters, and waves of soldiers. The controls feel a little stiff at first—like most 16-bit action games—but once you get the hang of weaving between bullets while returning fire, it clicks.
What I love is how chaotic it gets. One second you’re mowing down infantry, the next you’re frantically swerving to avoid a missile barrage. The music’s got that classic Genesis grit too, all crunchy bass and urgency. Some levels drag a bit, but when it hits right, it’s pure arcade-style mayhem. Just don’t expect a deep story—this is all about blowing stuff up with big guns.
If you’re into old-school run-and-gun games with a vehicular twist, this one’s a blast (literally).
