About Cadash
Cadash came out for the Sega Genesis in 1992, published by Taito. It was a time when console RPGs were still finding their footing, and this one stood out for its action-oriented approach. You got a side-scrolling adventure that felt more immediate than the turn-based games that were common then.
You choose from a Fighter, Mage, Priest, or Ninja, each with distinct abilities. Your goal is to defeat the dragon, Draxos, which involves traveling through towns, caves, and castles. You explore screen by screen, fighting monsters with your sword, bow, or spells, and you collect gold to buy better equipment. The pacing is deliberate; you need to level up your character to survive the later dungeons. It feels like a methodical crawl through dangerous territory where every new weapon makes a tangible difference.
