Boxing Legends of the Ring is one of those old-school Sega Genesis brawlers that somehow makes pixelated punches feel satisfying. You pick from a roster of classic fighters—some hit like trucks, others dance around the ring—and then it’s just you, the jab button, and a whole lot of dodging. The controls are simple, but timing matters; swing too early and you’ll eat a counter hook that sends your guy stumbling.
What I love is how the fighters actually feel different. Some are glass cannons, others are tanks that can take a beating. Matches get tense when you’re both down to slivers of health, bobbing and weaving while the crowd noise ramps up. It’s not the deepest boxing sim, but for a quick, arcade-style scrap? Still holds up.
Just don’t expect flashy cutscenes or career modes—this is pure, gloves-on action from the jump.
