About Boogerman
Boogerman came out for the Sega Genesis, also known as the Mega Drive, in 1994. It was published by Interplay Entertainment. During that time, the Genesis library was full of varied platformers, and this one certainly stood out with its particular sense of humor.
You control Snotty Ragsdale, a man who gains powers from bodily functions. Your goal is to navigate through a series of side scrolling levels, defeating enemies and finding keys to progress. The signature mechanics involve using belches to stun foes and launching projectiles, well, let's just say they are mucus based. You also explore the stages screen by screen, looking for hidden areas and collecting power ups. The pacing is fairly quick, and the difficulty can be unforgiving with some tricky platforming sections. Ultimately, playing Boogerman feels like a deliberately gross and silly twist on a classic formula.
